First Holy Communion Coin
A few months ago, we were contacted by a religious education teacher from our church. She is also the Deacon’s wife. She requested that we write a few words of encouragement for her 35 First Communion candidates. After some deliberation, my wife and I decided to include a pocket medal along with a Scripture passage. After last Sunday’s Mass, the teacher said her students were beyond grateful for the medals that were presented to them at their retreat. Many promised to carry the medal in their pocket as a reminder of their faith.
